It's like a kid I know . His dad has millions in contracts for the snow removal. Sits at home drinks beer all day swipes daddy's card every day does not pay rent won't work . He is a momma boy he can't work in that hot Sun. But he doesn't like it when it snows everyday and daddy's PAYING out thousands a day when the books are tight.

At least Gilroy kids have a truck and are willing to work. Far to many young adults are way to lazy now a days.

another consideration has come into view...

You'll soon have to live away from Urban Centers if you want to have Guns in your possession...

Seems your Liberal neighbours don't want you to have guns ..

Not angry Gilroy, simply fed up with your condescending attitude to those who live another lifestyle. The nonsense you spew insults me. It insults my family heritage, and it insults my friends and neighbours who have chosen to live, work and play up here.
People have survived up here for generations. Families have been raised, homes built, life lived. As I mentioned previously, you have a warped sense of values, by my standards. Please don't try to patronize me and mine.

Still country mentality and plenty of rednecks.
1 1/2 hour from downtown TO
    1 hour from Pearson.
    20 minutes for Georgian Bay
    1/2 hour from Muskoka
45 minutes from lots of Crownland
Minutes away from lots of public Simcoe forest.
Minutes from good ice fishing on Simcoe.
    Good water-fowling.
    Friendly farmers
Enough deer and plenty of coyotes.

Overall you get the advantage of the city but you don't have to deal with the ones that populate it.
I was just going to suggest that area. I don't live there but pass through it all the time. Barrie or Orillia areas would allow the family accesses to services and amenities, not far from outdoor spaces.

Good luck. My wife and I have chosen to live in town because of all the perks for our kids and we are both 5 min to work. I would much rather live out in the country / further north but in town made the most sense for raising our family. Good luck!

EDIT: I lived and worked in Bancroft for 5 years and really like the town and area. However jobs are limited a bit, the fresh produce isn't as good or a bit pricier, not much to do entertainment wise. Friendly people and just enough amenities in town. Good friends of mine raised a family there but there were many trips to Peterborough or Ottawa.

My stating what I have achieved in life should not amount to me "patronizing you", you have what you have and I have what I have, get over yourself pal.Your first quote I am sure will really attract people up to the SOO. LOL
