    Default Price of Home Propane

Just wondering if anyone knows a good internet site that provides the current price for residential propane? It sounds like something that should be easy to find but I can't find it. I can request a propane delivery darn near anytime because I burn wood primarily. If I can time it so that propane prices are low even better for me. Price seems to be a closely guarded secret.

The thing is that some customers get better prices than others, depending on usage and even distance. Or even just asking for a better price below posted can work. Oil was always like that, it was easy to get a discount just by asking. Some companies just plain charge more too, for instance out this way Superior is always much higher than P38.
So I wouldn't put much faith in websites myself. Phone and talk to a live body.

    Cheers

OK thanks guys. Wasn't aware you could negotiate a little on the price.

Just to confirm that, the supplier I deal with when I told him that I could get my furnace oil for less from the outfit for which I posted the link, just said that yes he can sell the oil for the same price, [dropped by .10 cts. per liter] especially when I also said that their trucks drive by my place quite often.
So definitely most dealers can be negotiated with if they want to keep your business.

Not sure that negotiating would work for me since my tank is a rental with FreeGas Co in Niagara. Do you guys own your tanks? And if so, how does that work with certifications and recertification etc?

I'm in the same boat LowBank. Leased tanks from UPI. I guess what i was wondering about was the historical price of propane over a year. I would assume that filling up during the peak of the heating season would be a lot more expensive than say June or July. I was shocked to get a price of 0.63 cents last June. I had the fillup by the time I realized it was expensive.
