The earth has been changing for millions of year, Man (Global industrial pollution) has only impacted the earth for the last 100 years or so. Putting out so much pollution in such a short period of time does change things in the short term but thinking man can control the natural order of things (long term) is just silly.
History tells us that an ice age is due whether we have the carbon tax or not.

A very large amount of human impact pollution occurred in the time of massive amounts of burning coal, the London Fog is a prime example of this.

We should not consider our impact as being nothing but the amount that human impact has had over the years can be disputed. The fact that our country of 35 million and the reductions that we are making is a moot point when you look at the developing world and their massive populations with their dirty industry and on top of that the dirty industry that will be coming back to the US shortly. Welcome back smog days in SW Ontario, I do not miss living there and dealing with the thick air from Michigan.

Every so often we hear the truth that the carbon taxes etc are about wealth redistribution and virtue signalling than making real change.... I don't see them raising a huge effort to clean the mercury out of the Rideau canal...

They put up windmills that kill thousands of bats and birds and cost way too much but usual Liberal's just don't want to work on the real problems it seems. I can't care less if it's warming up or not and of the consequences BUT the "Average" temperature of the earth has been increasing every year for the past 39 years..... So yes, it is warming up for the past 39 years.

Your continual need to mock what others find sacred implies much about you. You seem to love one line anecdotal quotes that are largely irrelevant to the discussion at hand. That being said I probably agree with you on this particular topic in that a few weeks of unseasonably cold weather in one part of the planet tells us nothing about the long term trend the planet is undergoing as a whole. Not going to get into what that trend is or how much of the trend can be attributed to human activity as that seems pointless.
