2018 coyote hunts
Seem there is very little activity so far this season. Is it the cold weather that’s keeping things quiet? I’ve been out a few times with my foxpro and Blaser but no takers so far.
Anyone else working them yet?

At -30C it's too damn cold to sit. These old bones don't like the cold like they used to. I'll wait for it to warm up a touch.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

mange dogs must have froze this winter. I’ll see what’s left now that it’s warming up a bit.

I have been out quite a few times but just can't seem to connect with them..... Seeing a few, calling them in but just can't seem to get into the groove to make it work (put them down).... It is always something that is screwing it up for me, whether it be me or mother nature but things have not been working out too well...In a slump with low confidence level affecting my setups for sure.....
As for the cold, as long as the wind is down/low I has no problem with the cold...
I dress warm, walking to and from the stand keeps me warm but one thing that keeps me from going doing a lot of stands is the snow.... Falling through the snow is tough on my body and limits the amount of stands I want to do....with that being said, I'd much prefer to hunt in a little warmer temps, seems the critters are more comfortable too making them move more. Hoping snow levels drop soon so walking into the sets can be easier.
