Pigeons
Looking to buy some feral/barn pigeons. I'm in TO but willing to travel a reasonable distance. Will consider homers if i can't find feral.

I see you have no answers. I get mine at a local auction in London- Trails End Farmers Market. I hesitated to post as I'm not sure pigeons are there every week in the winter. Not a big deal for me but it would be coming from T.O. Maybe you could call first. ( $1-3 dollars per bird depending on who is there.)

I will have to check that out... I don't have places to hunt them right now but sure would like some.
Maybe sidelock and I should try and work something out.
Take the warning labels off. Darwin will solve the problem.

Trails End auction is under new management ... last summer I found birds tended to be fewer, fancier, & commanded higher prices.

Thanks for the tip but London is just not feesable. Used to get them at Stouville and had a few trained homers but I didn't think I'll be raising anymore pups so I got rid of everything.
I just want to get this little guy all fired up.

Although Stouville closed down not to far a wholesaler of sorts opened up to supply the live poultry and small farm stock market.
In a pinch still got the pigeon I trained my pups with last year. $5 and its yours.

Check kijiji. I mean don't tell them it's for training. But folks in Scarborough and uptown are raising and selling.

True, but still enough wild pigeons to make it worthwhile for me - depending on who's there.
Nothing wrong with a tippler or a roller when ending up the steadying process.
