That would turn into a civil war.

You are totally unaware of what the American culture is, Civil war for sure.
There is something about the culture of using violence to solve problems.

The grave dancers in Canada should pop up shortly and demand gun confiscations up here. Trudough will be too happy to lead the charge.

I agree.
This is tragic.
What will be even worse will be the back and forth of the extreme of both sides of the gun control issue yelling their rhetoric from the proverbial mountain top in order to get their agenda's heard/implemented. Nothing will get done and as you put it in a previous post, the cycle will repeat over and over again.

The news this morning said Trump was tweeting about the need for people to speak up when they see someone having serious mental issues, the other part of the story was that he had approved the reversal of an Obama-era regulation that helped limit access to guns by people with mental issues.
True or not I dunno. Another sad day, another few weeks of talking about it, and another few weeks till the next one.
So thankful we are up here.

Nothing came to fruition after the Vegas shooting, not going to claim that people will not bring this up but Trudeau did not lead anything after the last one, at least not officially.

If it can produce votes in strategic ridings, wait for it.
I'm not trying to belittle this stuff. As a parent I can't imagine dropping my kid off at school and never seeing them alive again. What a messed up world. And we are the part that is supposedly civilized and advanced.

Then the 1st Amendment should only allow freedom of expression with an ink well and quill pen.
If you read the COMPLETE 2nd amendment, it says that the people should be armed and have access to arms on a level to which they can resist a corrupted Government and it's military.
To change an amendment, it has to be done by the states and NOT by the federal Government to be legal under the constitution of the US.
You can't just pass a bill in the house and Senate. If it was that easy the 2nd Amendment, states rights, the bill of rights, and many things would have been changed or removed by the Liberial Democrats years ago.
Take the warning labels off. Darwin will solve the problem.

Yea. Firearm law just doesn't fall under one body in the US like it does here. This really compounds the problem of introducing some common sense.
