Elk spotted

[North of Seven]

Spotted an elk tonight on the have home. North side of highway 7. Google 737 studio will take you to the spot just east of where 7 meets 37.

There red was a guy parked up the side Rd(city Rd 2) taking pics. Couldn't have been 100 yards from the one I saw.

Anyway pretty neat to see and thought maybe someone knows someone and we'd get to see a pic. If I get a chance tomorrow I'll post up a pic of 2 nice bulls I took a few years ago.

Are sightings common in that neck of the woods? That is in the general vicinity of the re-introduction area, right?

Elk have now been spotted as far as East of Ottawa and as well up around Golden Lake and Chalk River. There seems to be more than the MNR is saying.

nice, the introductory doesnt seem to be going as well as the turkey one, but mnr seems to be putting less effort into it.

Nice to see them doing well. Hopefully the Elk hunting opportunity’s get better in Ontario as there numbers grow.

Yes they are. Depending on the crops east of 37 on the north side of the 7 I have seen as many as 20 elk pretty close to the hwy.

I saw a bull elk in October about 25 mins north of shannonville. It was standing in the middle of the road 200 yards from my parents place. that was kinda cool.
