Re validation of the licence, Goodale in introducing the bill for 2nd reading has promised a 24 hr online portal and no firearm info requested or retained for NR transfer.
So that part seems not too painful.

I'm not sure I buy the warrant part. Pretty sure the inspection powers granted under the Firearms Act would allow access to those records. Which I think is the intent.

None of these provisions seem odious to me and pretty much the way it has been for years in relation to business records.I mean we still have to give info when buying ammo in this Province,I don,t see a big deal here.
