MikePal, I tried this last night, with rice will try noodles next time. It was amazing, Thanks for sharing. Now I put more garlic in and think some veggies might be good, but really was tasty the way it was. I used venison round steak, oh so good.

My wife bought herself one last year on special and loves it. I was a little sceptical at first but it really is a great way to cook. I'll put a frozen pork shoulder in for an hour and a half cooking time and it comes out like it's been in the Slow cooker all day. Pea soup really blew my mind, less than 30 minutes cooking time from dry peas. I would definitely recommend one and like Mike said there are lot's of Facebook groups and other recipes online.

I love my instant pot! Did some corned beef in it the other day -- what would normally take 6+ hours took 90 minutes. The only complaint I have is that the sealing ring can pick up odours.

I picked up a pair of replacement rings on-line for $15. At the same time I order the clear poly carbonate lid for when I use it as a slow cooker.

After hearing all the talk of these new fangled Instant Pots, I was quite surprised when I checked them out on the internet and found it was something I already owned! I've had mine for over 10 years now. Same model as this -
