    Default Texas 2018

Just figured I would add some pictures
from my trip down to Texas this winter as its been kind of slow around here.
The temperature was unseasonably cold when I went but still better than -14 back home in Ontario. Three young littermates. The dog on point is a 3yr old male pointer that I own and trial. A nice wild south Texas bobwhite.

The deer seem to have no fear of trucks on the ranch.
The amount of land is impressive and I would investigate buzzard activity but found only old cows no monster bucks that had passed on.
A shot from up top were the shooters ride on and the dog handler rides on a seat mounted up front.
The kennel on the ranch can hold up to 80 dogs .. But the working Cockers somehow managed to get a pass and stay at the guide house. Found a plant that wasn't covered in stabby stuff. And a shot of a nice female pointer that I own.

Looks like quite the setup/trip. A quail hunt is in our bucket list. Probably sooner than later, thinking Kansas. Fabulous shot of your female on point by the way.
I’m suspicious of people who don't like dogs, but I trust a dog who doesn't like a person.

Thanks I have been very fortunate to have met some great friends to learn from in the dog world And it has rewarded me with some really nice dogs.

I am not surprised the working cockers get the privilege of the guide house. I have some experience with the little buggers. They are fantastic at wiggling their way through cover, into your heart and not long after into your bed!!!

Great pics, thank you for posting.
