I think I'm going to do what your buddy did and have it sprayed.

Has too much time on their hands
I've driven a Sierra for the last 5 years, and will be buying a Toyota next. Sick and tired of little electronic crap going wrong, and huge repair bills that shouldn't be happening.

re: vehicle
Agreed...I love my 2015 Tacoma
, purchased 1yr old with 10k. Imports usually tend to hold there re-sale value down the road. Decent on gas as I can get to North Bay on 3/4 tank, cost to fill from fuel light to full is $75 depending on cost per litre, so it is a smaller tank. Small downside is the ground clearance to the under carriage could have been an inch or 2 higher, braking excellent, tight in the back for 3 adults
Good luck on your purchase!

Just ordered a 2018 F150 XLT 301a super crew 4x4 w/XTR package, trailer mirrors, trailer brake controller a month ago.
Probably another month or 2 before I get it.
Drove Ford years ago and had great luck so I thought I'd try again.
Been driving GMC since 1996 and had great luck except for 2001 ext.cab 4x4.
Rear disc brakes were changed under warranty 3 times. Fuel filter left me sitting at a stop light in 2003 and that was last straw.
Traded for another of same and drove it til 2009 and I know the guy that bought 03 from dealer and he is still driving it.
Traded for 2012 of same only loaded up better with options and been quite happy with it.
As they say, a change is as good as a rest. looking forward to the F150.

Everyone thinks there truck is the greatest until it fails. lol
I work for a company that supplies Toyota, Subaru, GM & Ford. All the parts come off the same line. If you think your truck is something special think again. In this global economy most of the components come from the same sourced suppliers. All companies source as many parts as possible from China. Government regulations dictate a certain amount of North American content. If it was a free for all they would all come from China. It's all about perception & a roll of the dice that the major truck parts were built correctly from the suppliers to the assembly plants.
BTW - I drive a 2017 Ram outdoorsman purely because of the low cost & great warranty. All trucks will break sooner or later & all you can hope for is some-one else will cover the cost...

You may have to go the route of a used fleet vehicle. The last time I asked about a bench seat, long box with rubber mats they told me they only order them in special for fleet customers.
I'm watching for you GW...I have a couple of friends that drive the hwy's for a living and I asked them to keep and eye for you too...spring should see more P/U sitting out at the end of the driveway for sale...
