heat stress in moose
Some interesting papers out there on the effects of heat stress on moose due to climate change. Looks like it can have some major effects. Our winters are now too warm - anything warmer than -4C in winter and they are in metabolic stress. Anything warmer than 25C in summer and they're in trouble again. Looks like this can be added to the pile of other factors causing decline.

Thank God we had one of the coldest winter in a while. Had to use the extension on the ice drill yesterday. Spent the afternoon on the sled. Hope it melts before may long weekend.
