Numerous casualties in downtown Toronto incident....

I was listening to 640 around 3pm the day this happened. They were saying that people were alerting police to under ground parking garage where a car with front end damage was located and an "elderly Asian man" (their words not mine) was detained.


Well I guess that was unrelated to what really happebed, Poor old man likely got the crap scared out of him because of a few fender benders lol

Well let me tell you guys something - first off - the cop had every right to shoot the criminal - the cop took a chance because he could have made a mistake thinking that the thing the criminal had in his hand wasn't a gun - I have two 25 calipers semi handguns that are no bigger than my wallet - so the cop didn't shoot - it could have cost him his life - now you tax payers will spend millions of dollars on this criminal for the rest of his life - and if he gets a good lawyer he may convince a jury that the guy was nuts and he will be sent to some country style prison for a while until he gets better and maybe released out on to the streets again - when the guy jumped out of the van and took a shooters stance aiming something at the cop he should have been shot - down here the criminal would have been shot so many times he would have looked like a screen door

Another thing - when someone intentionally murders someone the killer should pay with his life - otherwise you cheapen the life of the victim - killing someone is so bad that a killer must pay the ultimate price for his actions -

It ain't perfect but I'll take our Canadian system of law enforcement. No desire to live where moms pack a Glock to shop at Walmart.

Me and many other couldn’t agree more with you on that one.
The situation could have went even worse and maybe the guy will be out someday.

Way to jump to conclusions, they are claiming now that he was a loner who was angry for being alone, following the 2014 attacks in Isla Vista which was an attack because women rejected him.

Actually mentally ill all his life- type of autism- - in Special Education classes etc. Very sad for all.

It's not the special ed sharon. I have seen kids/people that could be said to be dumber then a box of rocks, with more brains and common sense then some people have.

It's been reported that he spent two months of basic training in the military,then,washed out. Wouldn't you think the recruiters should have picked up on that before he ever made it to basic.? WTH!

He was in basic for about two weeks, and then was out. Not two months.
