    Mike, yes, there's a risk of butchered finger tips or a butchered tag - especially for the guy with the huge Bowie knife.

    For us using nothing but a knife to notch the tag,here is a neat tip(developed after cutting myself more then once........)Take the whatever knife you have,with hands cold or not,place the tag on a nearby tree trunk,press the paper on the tree and cut the notch (where you need to notch the tag) like you are cutting V into the trunk with the tip of your knife..
    No flimsiness,no paper collapsing,just a neat V.

    A tree is a great idea....I found guys don't like you using the plastic fenders on their ATV

    Carry fingernail clippers. They work great to notch tags.....

    i mean no-one is stopping you from attaching your seal to the animal if that's what you like. although no longer required by law but no harm done. maybe just print off 2 as the paper one attached to the animal will be mangled after a drag.

    You will not be able to print more than one game seal.

    He can photo copy it , it'll be illegal, but it's just for show anyway......try explaining that to the CO...LOL...
