    2018 Wild blueberry season ..... is started yet ...?

    Depends on where you are located. One year we picked during July, Aug, Sept along the hydro corridor in Algonquin. The next year they were all burnt to a crisp. We have a few plants in our garden that are all nude because of caterpillars......

    There's very little in Sudbury and unless we get some rain real soon we won't have a crop. Where there are a few berries, they're about a week or two away from picking.

    Around the Timmins area blueberry picking usually starts around the long weekend in August give or take a week.

    I think this heat and lack of rain will just about kill the crop in the Sudbury area. Everything is really dry in the bush. On the bright side it should be easier to bring the bears to the bait this August.

    Started seeing a few blueberries. Might be earlier this year.
