Have a heavy crop of them here also deer must not fancy them that much till there on the mushy side

Got a few patches at home however find one of the most irritating berry to pick. Too early and its a horrible sour affair too late its a mushy mess however if its just right dam thing is sweeter than sugar.
Time in the outdoors is never wasted

By far my favorite berry to eat, worst to pick. We used to hunt wild pheasant in Nova Scotia in the brambles. They would tear you to pieces. Never seen a pair of boots destroyed so fast in my life.

I can still taste the pies my grandmother use to make. All were baked in a wood stove oven on the farm...
