Anyone believe ANYTHING the libs say anymore ... I mean anyone with a realistic view of the world.

He was also asked whether the government knows where all of the people who have crossed into the country are, given that statistics shared by officials two weeks ago suggest only a couple hundred have actually been deported.

“I will tell you that we did experience a surge of people last year,” Blair said in response.

“We found a very small percentage of them were actually eligible to stay, and the overwhelming majority of those people have left.”

Following his remarks, Global News requested clarification from a spokesperson for Blair.

That’s because the number reported by the Toronto Star on Sept. 8, cites Canada Border Services Agency statistics that only 398 of the 32,173 people who crossed the U.S. border irregularly into Canada between April 2017 and August 2018, had actually been deported.

Of those, the report states 146 were sent back to the U.S., of which 116 had U.S. citizenship.

The rest were deported to Haiti, Colombia, Turkey and Iraq.

Translation for those that don't speak Liebral and just speak English "irregular" actually means they crossed illegally and not at a proper border crossing and rather than getting an automatic kick back over the fence the Liebral's are playing word games (see earlier issue Fed Issue ).

and according to Quebec the number deported amounts to less than one days arrivals

I've read several times that police forces are finding more unrestricted FAs on the streets and that a significant number are coming from people who have PALs. These people are buying them for the purpose of reselling illegally, often modified. Nowhere that this was did it get into any details, numbers, pre/post registry nothing. Seemed very speculative, does anyone have any details with regards to this?
Heeere fishy fishy fishy fishy! :fish:

Bad guys don’t carry long guns. Any long guns that are seized as a result of the execution of search warrants are for the most part stolen or have been traded for drugs. I would also like to see the facts and figures relating to this assertion by the government. I don’t for one minute buy into the government’s assertion that most guns on the street are from legitimate sources.
The long gun registry was good for one thing, and that was allowing the police to identify the owners of these guns, when found in a crack house someplace!!!!!

Those numbers are an outright lie, their own stats show that, I will let Brian answer it...
    http://brianlilley.com/no-50-of-guns...t-from-canada/

    And even Global News....
    https://globalnews.ca/news/4428617/m...me-statistics/
There’s no surge in guns traced back to Canada. There’s an ebb and flow across the years, but no “surge” post-2012. In fact, if you look carefully, you’ll see that while the number of guns sourced from Canada bounces up and down a bit, the overall trend is down.
    ...
Take 2017, for instance. Of the more than 1,700 firearms seized by Toronto police that year, only 330 guns could be linked to either Canada or the United States.
    ...
And there’s another revealing insight in the numbers released by the Toronto police: roughly half of the crime guns seized by Toronto police in 2017 were classified under Canadian law as “prohibited,” meaning they are virtually banned and only rarely possessed by any Canadian civilian (the only real exceptions are Canadians who owned said firearms before the current gun control classification system was introduced in the 1990s). Any kind of further crackdown on gun ownership in Canada would have extraordinarily limited impact on these guns, which, again, were half the crime guns seized in Toronto in 2017 (I haven’t crunched the numbers for each year going back to 2007, but prohibited guns are a major portion of the total in every year). These guns are effectively banned already. Is that not evidence that the debate about banning
    guns is missing the mark?

    ...
Clarification: Prohibited-class firearms can also include firearms that have been illegally modified.

For a handgun to be LEGALLY bought it is registered! So if they can't figure out the source their own numbers make the liars.

This is an interesting one on crimes in Canada upto 2016.
    https://www150.statcan.gc.ca/n1/pub/.../54962-eng.htm
This was driven by a substantive increase (+68%) in gang-related homicides over that period. From 2013 to 2016, gang-related homicides occurring in CMAs almost doubled (from 65 to 121), driven by increases in Toronto (from 13 to 33), Edmonton (3 to 11), and Ottawa (0 to 7).

    ...
and just to put a few numbers in perspective for 2017 here is another Stats Can report ... sexual assault, human trafficking...

Just keep in mind, "illegally modified" could be anything from cutting a barrel to grinding a serial number.

Mr. Blair said illegal handguns are either smuggled into Canada from other countries, especially the United States, or “diverted” from legal domestic sources by criminals.

“We have got to look responsibly at both [streams] and take all the measures that can be effective in reducing the movement of guns from both the United States and the domestic market into the hands of criminals,” the former chief of the Toronto Police Service told reporters. “There is a diversion from the domestic market that needs to be addressed.”

He added that any solution proposed by the government will be based on evidence from Canada and around the world. “We will go and get the best available data. I want to be informed by the best [information] we can find,” Mr. Blair said.

Conservative MP Glen Motz, a former police officer with the Medicine Hat Police Service, said the federal government is playing politics by contemplating a handgun ban. He said he is particularly concerned that the government will change firearms laws without a guarantee that the measure will reduce crime.

“A handgun ban is not going to stop those who already have access to illegal firearms," he said. “Having a handgun ban consultation is in no way speaking to the issue.”

Appointed to cabinet in July, Mr. Blair is in charge of a series of complex files, including the legalization of recreational cannabis and the flow of asylum seekers entering the country from the United States. At the meeting of the public safety committee on Tuesday, Conservative MPs tried and failed to get Mr. Blair to state that he wants to put an end to all border crossings at unauthorized points of entry.

A Handgun ban and immigration ..... might be enough of a wedge for an election win.

So what will it be: centralized storage, bans ..... what do you think they can use to drive a wedge and with the media paid for ($100,000,000 per month to CBC and another 700,000,000 for the other media organizations) we can see the propaganda roll out like crazy soon, fear mongering and CPC wants to turn Canada into the US... just remember the outright lies on the ATT and fear mongering about people taking handguns to a ball game etc. (Just checked all the Justlied quotes (lies) are gone )

Stronger gun control recommendations to be presented to Trudeau soon, Blair says

    *Note: remember that b.s. poll....
“When we’ve got it all compiled, I’ll take it back to him and share with him what Canadians have told us,” he said.

and of course there are the ideologues out there!
    https://firearmrights.ca/en/doctors-...all-to-action/
University of Toronto surgeon and Professor, Najma Ahmed took up moonlighting as a social justice warrior, creating a website and social media campaign targeting legal gun owners. You read that right – not targeting the increasing gang violence we are witnessing across the nation, not focusing on the violent criminal element. No, Dr. Ahmed is content to isolate Canadian gun owners in her national attack on literally MILLIONS of law abiding sport shooters, hunters and collectors – the very people not responsible for the violence and carnage in the streets of her city
What’s worse, is she is openly using her credentials as a physician to do this, with of course great applause from the radical anti-gun lobby groups. In a Tweet she stated; “no civilian needs access to guns. The harms outweigh any benefit. The evidence is clear. Sign the petition to ban handguns; write your MP”

    ...
On her website, as terribly done as it is, she has a “national day of action” planned for April 3, 2019 calling for “stronger gun control laws, including passage of Bill C-71 and a handgun assault weapons ban”. Yes I know – she didn’t even get that terminology right. Don’t shame her to hard for it. It isn’t her area of expertise.

The mere fact that The Liberals have embarked on that cross-country dog and pony farce espousing half truths along with "fake news" and outright lies should send every firearm owner to the polls on election day to cast their vote against their local Liberal candidate. If we do that and every other Canadian votes against the rest of the LPoC platform for any number of a myriad of screw ups, there's no way they can form another government.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

Not gonna happen. The Parliamentary petitions prove it.
