noone hunted the southern opener?
Not much activity about the opener on here.
My morning started perfectly, blue sky, wind had calmed down just in time, the ARSEHOLES in the neighbouring swamp werent shooting 20 minutes before legal light - I just had to wait for legal light. In the meantime I am covered up with ducks in and out of the decoys. Ah finally legal time, first voley of woodies and I drop two with one shot. Good start. Things happened fast as they usually do. Two man limit in about an hour. 11 woodies and a mallard.
Day two - frost and fog screwed us. Managed three ducks.
Things that fly turn me on

My opener was thinking about how I missed the opener for the first time ever. My friend offered to take me to one farm he has permission on sunday but he got sick late on sat and we couldn't go. Other then that im surprised there wasn't more post about the opener as well.

Hard to get into the waterfowl with the warm weather we been having. With the cool down Sunday on a lark went out to a field too see if things are moving. Unknown to me the farmer has started silaging his corn so watched a couple hundred geese pour into that field. Only problem field is in between 2 house so it would of been a no go anyways. After they feed and went to water picked up my rig and gave the an appointment later in the season when the grain corn is picked.
