Default Wife's lab is very sick..

Karen's lab Teja is very sick.
She can't control her bladder, and is leaking all over her bedding when she sleeps. We are hoping that it's a bladder infection, but I think we both know it is not. The urine has a very bad smell to it and she is drinking alot of water.

Karen thinks that she may have kidney failure. Teja has been on medication for pain for along time, and it has likely damaged her kidneys.

Our 11 year old hound had this same issue, it was a urinary tract infection. It could hopefully just be that? Fingers crossed!

Hopefully it’s nothing serious, no need to jump to conclusions.

Get your dog to the vet and stop the suffering. Most likely a bladder or urinary tract infection. Our dog has had a few because of the effect of her steroids. Don't ask for advice online go to a vet asap, it's an easy fix with the proper antibiotics and your dog will be back to normal in no time

Not "Asking" options. She is already head to the vet today. No vet on sundays except Emergency clinic. It's a callout service and they said they don't come out for "Normal" exam type stuff.

    Appointment is at 630 pm.

I was home last night for a quick visit, and she seems to have stopped leaking. Don't know if that is good or bad, but she has no problem passing water when she goes out.
Maybe she had a kidney stone.. had a couple myself.

We will know soon and will post up here.

Teja has been to the vet, and we're just waiting on the blood tests(24hours) and the urine culture's(72hours).

Good luck, that is my biggest fear with owning a great dog, when they get sick. Hopefully it is just an infection.
