No expert but I know people in the medical field, friends in the mental health field in Eastern Ontario, friends with chronic conditions with severe pain who have been given medical use permits for years, MS is a big one for chronic pain, please feel free to go up to them and tell them that it is a horrible thing that does nothing and they should have it taken away.

I am not a user myself but I have been around enough of it to not be scared by it.

Medical Cannabis oils are very accurate on dosing amounts, no different that any other drugs when it comes to dosing. A product is only as good as where it's coming from. Why would doctors be prescribing oils if they where unpredictable? A product is only as good as the source of its production

My main concern is that the legal age is the same as alcohol (19).

Medical studies have proven conclusively that THC consumption in any form effects frontal lobe brain development. Further, frontal lobe does not stop developing until the age of 25 ( approximate). This increases the chance of psychosis, depression, and other issues affecting brain function like cause and effect.

I've seen the after effects long term. This is my main concern.

You cannot buy edibles, you can make what ever you want with it, you can buy dried and oil.
Thanks. News keep saying edibles can't be made, sold, used.
What else are they getting wrong? You sure have to wonder.
Take the warning labels off. Darwin will solve the problem.

Exactly. Based on the studies/evidence accumulated in Colorado( first State to make marijuana legal), the consensus remains clear:
Long term marijuana smoking damages the brain's capacity for memory and cognitive tasks, increases visits to emerg., and increases the risk for the development of a number of problems later in life.

Don't believe everything you read in studies. Many of them have their own agendas. This is probably the most accurate quote in the whole article.
"Even as some research has suggested that long-term marijuana use carries a minimal risk of physical consequences, such as that published in JAMA, scientists still urge caution. “Buyer beware,” write doctors in Massachusetts, saying that there are not as many health risks associated with heavy marijuana use as previously thought, but health risks exist nonetheless."

Where do you think I get my info from, people in the medical field, my doctor , a doctor down the road that works in the emergency dept.
I didn't get my info from reading comic strips.
Thirty years in emergency service, I saw a lot of it as most of our calls were responding to medical calls , where we arrived usually before the ambulance due to the proximity of our Fire Halls in the cities areas.
I have seen what it has done to several acquaintances , lost jobs, lost business. took a header from a 500 ft. tower, families broken up, none of this is made up or a joke, these instances actually did happen.

Been there done that , have you ? I don't think so , and I don't mean smoking it, what I mean is that I have been there rendering first aide/ help to some of these potheads that went overboard on tot.

You claim "you are no expert " however you talk a lot about it as if you are on this subject and most other subject any one posts on this forum.
