fratri, not much to tell really. I got to my spot along the edge of a cut bean field 2 yards in bush. I was watching bush mostly so was turned more that way. 6 min after it was time to shoot I look into the field and this buck walking by about 20yds out, almost didn't see him. I waited till he went behind a small bush, then turned in my chair. He must have heard me as he didn't come out. I was thinking he took off straight away from me. He finally comes out walking. I misjudged the distance thought it was 30yd in my excitement. So I shot bit high and back a bit, it takes off through the field angling away from bush. I watch him and he running like I missed it. Can't figure out how I missed but he gets maybe 200yds out then stops and falls over. I have an extra tag so reload bow and site back down. That was the hardest thing I could do knowing he was out there, but needed to wait anyway. An eagle shows up and starts to circle and coming down to him. That it can't site any more so go out into the field, eagle sees me and flies to the bush and lands in a tree to watch me. I tag him. it was a double lung shot. Text boy he comes gets my keys with quad, goes back and gets truck. Drives around the block and into the field. By this time I have the buck ready for transport. Boy backs truck up to deer and we load it in. Easiest recovery I have ever had. I was surprised how fast the eagle found it.

Always nice when you see them tip over. No worries about recovery. Congratulations! Great memory with your son.
