Really cool being in a bow only area that first week of November, my dad is in a zone that has a controlled hunt in December and is bow the rest of the time, he hits the prime of the rut for bow if he wants it, a totally different experience than dogging with guns.

Not exactly a bow only area. rifle season started 2 days after this for 6 days (don't get me started on no sunday guns). I hunt most of oct then hard for the 4-5 days leading up to rifle season as its as close as i can get to the rut before the mass of rifle hunters push deer around and get them skittish. there is also a muzzle loader season first week in dec.
