Muzzleloader Doe
I have access a remote spot with cut corn fields on a side, bush and opening in the middle, and thick cedar swamp on the other side. The wind forecast was favorable, so decided to go hunt it at first light yesterday morning.
Found deer moving really well in the cold light of the morning; the wind & light snow allowed me to get in without disturbing the place.
Decided to take a doe from approx. 70 yards with my TC Impact loaded with 90grs of Blackhorn 209, 250gr TC Shockwave slug with black sabot. Large exit hole, good blood trail, fast easy recovery.
Got help pulling her out of there with a sled, it was really well appreciated.
No other shots heard around.
