    For me, totally normal.
Example...4 hunters, we saw and shot 2 deer in the controlled hunt. All week.

I watch the shows too, shaking my head in disbelief every time.

what my real question is to all of you, how often do you see a deer? How many a year roughly do you see while hunting? I don’t hunt fields, I’m in the Bush. Funnels, trails, fresh tracks etc. Usually I c maybe one or two a year if I’m lucky. Is this something normal for all of you?
I would say in the big woods away from any agricultural fields there are probably only one deer per 100 acres.Bo D indicates 1 deer for every 2 square mile which is quoted by the MNR.This year I can safely say that there was one Doe and one or two bucks on my 200 acre parcel. I have worked out from previous years that it takes about 250 man hours on average to harvest a deer up my way. This by the way is getting longer. My mentors camp near me on 1000acres
with 4 guys first week and 5 the second only took one deer and that is a long established camp hunting over some food plots.

This year I hunted an equivalent of about 8.5 full days during the archery and rifle seasons (12 individual outings). I hunted alone on a private parcel and a large public forest in WMU 64A. These areas are not agricultural, but closer to "big woods" type hunting. During this time, I saw 1 buck and 13 antlerless deer, some of which were repeats. Since I had a tag for antlerless deer, I ended up taking one at the end of the rifle season, after having let some easy opportunities pass earlier in the archery and rifle seasons and noticing that my sightings were starting to drop off. Based on my records, the deer population where I hunt is on the upswing.
