It is about money. And what it's going to cost is a legitimate question.

I think it's a great idea.

I guess that since the liberals have been decimated in Ont. you've lost your insiders info line, so cant find out for yourself? As a regular peon now, why don't you write a letter to the minister and ask for yourself? I'm pretty sure your question won't get answered on this forum?

Oh FFS....
It's never a good sign when simple questions offend you.
And btw, this entitles me to fish for free. Doesn't mean I think it's a good idea.

My bad!!!! I was not aware that Trump or Bush would even need an ONTARIO fishing licence !!!!! Geeeeez.....

Offended? Not in the least. I find it rather amusing. If you're truly concerned about the the financial implications, there is nothing preventing you from buying your licence and opting out of the benefit?

I can do that.
But it's up to the government to make good policy to start with.

Its an excellent policy! The costs, in comparison to the billions that have been wasted by the previous liberal gov't would not even cause a blip on the radar, I'm sure. It's an act of goodwill. It's a small token to show appreciation for the commitment and sacrifice many have made for their country. Embrace it and move on, nothing to see here folks?

The percent of anglers 65 + is 14%. So I found that Hunting and fishing revenues for 2015 was 44 million.
'm going to pull a number out of my hat and say that 30 million is fishing.
So it will cost about 4 million +
I have no problem with that
