I got an Instant Pot for Christmas and thought it was a gimmick. I've used it now for a bunch of stuff and am a believer. It works great. As far as game goes, I did a couple venison pot roasts using the pressure cook method and both of them shredded up fork tender and made great pulled venison on a bun. I also did venison Osso Bucco using the recipe in the book that it came with. Again, I used the pressure setting, not the slow cook. Served it over risotto and it was a HOME RUN! I mean, it was awesome. From now on, I will cut the shanks for Osso Bucco rather than strip them for ground burger.

I bought one last year and it's become the default, go to cooking pot in my kitchen ( I do all the cooking here so it's MY kitchen)

even posted a thread on it: https://www.oodmag.com/community/sho...ant-Pots/page2

Someone posted a great recipe for Turkey legs...I can't find it at the moment, but it used the slow cooker function to cook up Turkey Legs. They come out to tough and stringy when done in an oven, but the Insta-Pot makes them tender and delicious.

We made venison rouladen tonight in the instant pot and it was another home run.

Cut a venison round thin on a meat slicer while it was still semi frozen. Followed the internet recipes for traditional rouladen and cooked it under pressure for 20mins. Served with rotkohl and spaezle. Wow! This thing is the real deal.

Unbelievable on waterfowl. Nothing better for plucked ducks imho. Did up the last of our canvasbacks last night. Delicious!
