Costco ice fishing shelter ?
Considering picking this one up, this is for occasional use, I’m new to ice fishing and looking for something functional that won’t break the bank.
Anybody have any experience with these ? Seems like the best bang for your buck, 88” square seems like it would be ok for 2 adults and 2 kids ?

I bought one last year and returned it. Seems like something broke on it everytime I used it. I ended up buying an Eskimo 3i insulated hut for 40 dollars more. It is a much better quality.

Thanks - more often than not you get what you pay for I guess. Did the material rip or come apart at the seams ?

Material did rip at the bottom but the biggest issue was the poles breaking. Used it 4 times and 4 poles broke.

I’m trying to grab a shelter in the next few weeks and hope to get an end-of-season price....like to have enough room for 2 adults and 2 kids, I figured the 88” square dimensions of the one above would be a decent size. Budget $300ish....anybody want to give me a recommendation ? Or am I too cheap ?
I’m not a die-hard but hope to get out a few times a year and prefer to pay a bit more for something that will last,
thinking hub style, they seem to be popular and most cost-effective for a beginner?

My three person is perfect for two adults.
Theres no way youre getting 4 people in it comfortably, especially with gear. Someone will get a hook in something, and forget about safely using a heater.

I bought a similar one from Costco 5 years ago and it is still working and functioning fine. Very pleased with it..
