K31s are nice rifles. I bought mine for $250 maybe 6 or 7 years ago. They were severely undervalued back then, and I regret not splurging and buying a really nice specimen in addition to my shooter grade rifle. The price people are asking for them nowadays on CGN is crazy though. I wonder if any of them sell.
The K11s don't seem to have the same excellent reputation as the K31s. I believe you can't even use the GP11 ammunition in them.

    a K-31 for ***************** $250!!!! ***************** censored *************** ****************** lucky ******************** censored again *********************

The G11 and K11 are good to go on the GP11 since that was what they were designed for

    . Can I fire GP11 or other 7.5x55 rounds in my 1889?

NO!!! The action on the 1889 is too weak. The Model 1889 action was designed to handle rounds that generated at most 39,000psi. GP11 rounds produce 45,500psi. I cannot say just how much pressure INDEP or Norma ammo generates, so I cannot recommend using either round in an 1889 action. It safe to fire modern 7.5x55 rounds in 1896/11s, 1911s and K31s. If you wish to fire your Model 1889, you are going to have to reload your own cartridges.

The 1896/11 looks interesting and the single shot target too for the cool... the 1889s are for the reloaders it seems.

... now to figure out an excuse and which one before they all disappear.... alot already are gone.

Just finishing some work and listening to videos in the background... they suggest the GP 11 not bused that often due to the back lug.

You can still buy GP11 in bulk and break it down then load it up with a lighter load but the same bullet for the older guns, it would be a cheaper way to find brass, although PPU does make brass.

$0.82/shot for GP11 if in stock at TradeEx
    $1.40/shot for PPU FMJ
    $1.65/shot for PPU SP
    $0.88/piece for PPU Brass

GP11 is berdan primed but still really decent to break down and reload lighter.

I held a buddies K31 Full Military, he has 2 and I told him he should sell me one for what he paid, ha ha ha, similar to rf2.

    Another lucky *************censored ***************** guy.

The K11 and 1896/11 rifles seem to go fairly fast, I see they added more 1896/11s and some of them are gone too.... guess if I get one it will be a 96/11 ... and I will have to drill a hole in the top of the safe. :-) Two boxes of softpoint should do me for years probably. They are sold out of the cases of the GP11. May have to look into the reloading or working a deal with someone that does reloading and wants to split a case.... if I can figure out a viable excuse to buy it .... not sure "I want it" will fly to far.

    P.S.
They had 4 of the target rifles, now 3 and I see the ones that I think were added yesterday already a few have "out of stock" on.

The 96/11 is safe for GP11 ammo, the older guns are what you have to worry about.

They are really slick guns, would love one but timing is everything and the timing is really wrong.

Yep, the GP11 is highlighted above..... patience is a virtue.... but look at what rf2 paid ..... I just looked and they added a bunch of the 1889s and some Russian stuff.... also one more of the target rifles is gone. 4 is now 2 ...... if you are going to wait, may as well create a wish jar to put atleast a $5 in each week and wait for a K31.... and luck.

I do like the idea of a reduced charge though and paying a bit more wouldn't hurt my feelings as long as accuracy out to say 300 yards is still good.... beyond that iron sights, my eyes and a bullet.... sights end more than target end but still....

Just thinking I know some that used clip and file the FMJ 8mm to make a sort of soft point or even drill a bit into the lead... no idea how effective with all the implications of reduced bullet mass, slight imperfections.... but even at $1.60 a shot what you would want to use a SP for isn't worth the effort now days unless you are using it for coyotes or something so a case of GP11 is good if a couple people split it and if you can get someone to reduce some and some reloading...

Norma has just one and it is expensive and best for just 2 or 3 shots and hunting

Some of the GP11 in smaller quantities though is still over $1 a round.

Have you held one? They are tanks, no need to worry about reduced load, it is essentially a 308 round but the gun is almost 9 lbs.

They are slick, the price for K31s will not go down, my plan is to look for one in Switzerland if they ever send me there for work , cut out the middle man, apparently the prices there are much more reasonable, I have a friend who has brought a couple back, him and his dad.
