Glad you're so confident but whether or not you need it remains to be seen.

The good from alcohol goes to the government [emoji1787][emoji2958][emoji107]. Money equals power.

Perfect analogy.... they just keep putting down fingers thinking they can stop gangs, the mentally ill or the plain evil, I wonder how many good kitchen knives were surrendered by people.

Barely coherent numskulls yelling "no compromise" and "molon labe" are of little help to anyone. Even in countries with widespread bans of either handguns, assault rifles or both (e.g. UK and Australia) hunting rifles and shotguns remain widely accessible to the public.
Instead of threatening not to get involved I'd prefer that you promised.

Seeing as I'm a member of nothing but a local gun club and the OFAH, I won't be helping you with anything, so you can put your mind at ease.
By all means, carry on with your "if it doesn't directly affect my interests then go ahead and ban it" attitude and see where it gets you.
Mass shootings and murder are already banned and it hasn't stopped them from happening. Criminals don't worry about bans. Surely a smart guy like you understands that...

Even if future legislation captured a few non-restricted they could be easily replaced in the field with firearms better suited to the task.
How exactly does something fall just outside the restricted category?
I don’t understand your comment.

Well said.
Our laws are perfectly adequate.

Certain semi-automatic rifles are essentially identical to restricted rifles. For example, the Beretta Storm was restricted until the importer began bringing in slightly longer barrels. Other assault-style rifles are not restricted as they began coming into the country after the passing of the regulations that put specific rifles in the restricted or prohibited categories.

Please explain just what is “an assault style rifle”...???
