    Terrible system.
It was really good when a waterproof physically sturdy plastic/paper tag had a sticker verifying licence that could go to the back of the OutDoors card.
    Now... worse than ever.
For one thing, it makes the economically arrogant assumption that everyone has a home printer.

Worse, what stops a poacher from SCANNING-PRINTING a licence 10+ times?
The poacher could kill deer again and again and look legal everytime they come home with a new deer.
    Until an MNR game check!!
Then, because the poacher will have licence/time/date info entered into the CO data base, that is the end of being able to use scanned "licences".

But how often does that happen?
Up here, maybe every 4-5 years I might encounter a CO during big game season.

This new system is so open to abuse and such a download of proper a tag system onto hunters, that it defies imagination.

Agreed! I think the government is relying on the hefty fines to prevent abuse....

I couldn't have said it better myself...
This is a terrible system indeed, and I am left shaking my head about the logic (?!) behind going ahead with it.

Aside from deer, wild turkey will be the first victims of greedy and unethical "hunters".

WE don't have to to tag the animal at the kill site anymore. Just carry the tag with you in a zip lock bag, notch it out at the kill site and put it back in the zip lock. If you laminate the tag,a CO won't be able to scan the bar code and you're going to have a problem. The only time a tag must be applied is if the shooter isn't present with the animal while it's being transported. In that case, simply attach the entire zip lock with zip ties,so,it can be opened and inspected if necessary.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

Ok I think I got this all down pat, I need to go out and buy a printer $100.00 then I need a lap top $300.00 then I need internet service $1200.00 pa.

OK so now I need to buy zip locks bags and ties,oh yeh what else I will need glue to stick my tag around the antler or do I.Maybe I should just buy a staple gun and staple the tag around the antler.

Heck I,am only $1700.00 in debt but thank goodness Doug Ford saved me that $2.00 on my license fee. LOL

Memo to Doug stop listening to stupid people and bring back the phone in system and we will pay the stupid $2.00 for a postage stamp so you can send us back our license and tags which IS WEATHER PROOF,COMES WITH A STICKY BACKING,IS HARD TO COPY AND DOES NOT BLOW OFF YOUR BLOODY DEER WHILE ITS HANGING UNATTENDED ON THE MEAT POLE BECAUSE YOUR IN TOWN DROWNING YOUR SORROWS OVER THIS HUNTING BUSINESS.

You can get a printer for less than 40 bucks on most weeks. The entire printer most times cheaper then the ink

What are you use to type on now a cardboard box? Why do you need a laptop to print off the tag ? Stop over exaggerating all the time.

For anyone else the library is always there a neighbor or a friend has everything one would need. Don't you ever learning something new.

    fishfood,

You are making the same arrogant assumptions the Doug Ford government is making, everybody has access to a computer and printer and the Internet.Wake up call buddy that is not so. So what you should learn is this fact and there was a alternate that would have solved all these problems that they already had the phone in application.

Have you figured out how much more this will cost some hunters and how much less it cost the government?Never mind the inconvenience.

Try and put yourself in some one,s else,s shoes for a change. Its all about perspective do you see an old lady in this picture or a beautiful young lady.
