Which is why I asked if there was a willing torontonian among us.

This could be a good racket. If I lived in Toronto I wouldn't hesitate to round up a dozen beaters and take advantage of the foolish program.

Gun buy-back programs are a lot like people in a flood loading sandbags. It doesn't do a hell of a lot of good except let folks think they're doing something to "help",so,if that's what floats their boat,go nuts.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

Yea they promote false hope....and do nothing but cost a lot of money that could be better spent elsewhere..

Do you think they'd be suspicious if someone showed up with a moving van loaded to the roof with old beaters?

I'm not above taking money from Toronto
You and the rest of the province do it daily.

When I pass, my old lady isn’t going to be selling or giving away my collection to no cops for them to destroy. My estate/Will is up to date and my toys are going where I want them to go. My old beater guns were already given to a old gunsmith and a few old working guns went to my nephews. Take care of your assets while your alive.

Bush, that sounds like a helluva plan. Take the old motorhome at Christmas time and park in Gilroy’s driveway. Bring the Rottweiler and wear your housecoat while emptying your holding tank into the catchbasin.

A week of that that will change his outlook.

It is a citiot only program. They are the only ones that see the value, and will drink the coolaid.

Update: after 3 weeks the tally

So far, police have received 816 long guns and 419 handguns through the program, totalling $309,850. Each gun was inspected to see if it had ever been involved in a crime.
No mention of the type of crap people took in a for the cash !!

Ends tomorrow...I wonder if they will releases staggering results of how many were involved in crimes and are now off the street. I hope the good folks in the GTA feel safer for the $300K spent
