Hard to actually believe people voted that retread in. He is the farthest thing from any kind of leader. He is just full of lies and BS. Does anybody actually believe anything that comes out of his pie hole?

The water from my well, while perfectly safe, tastes AWFUL. It is very hard and tastes like iron

    Statistically
We are one of the worst polluters globally when expressed as on a per capita basis.

Thankfully on the global stage we are a gnat with just 36mm people.

The guy is a bumbling idiot and as plastic as any Kardashian’s or other Instagram wanna be a rock star.

That though, does not take away from the issue.

Not long ago, there was a discussion about “carbon taxes”, and my feeling ( thoughts only) that those that live in cities, those that reap the benefits, of massive urban sprawl, urbanization. Should be the ones paying for it etc. The topic of garbage, landfills, etc was touched on.

We are lucky, we live in the proverbial land of plenty. Lots of green, lots of land space ( S Intario the exception) lots, oodles of fresh water other will ( have and do) kill for.

We are pizzing and shatting in them like there is no tomorrow...

Thank god we are gnats globally and live where there’s an abundance ( for now)Because we are gluttons, none more so than the cities.

Just look close to home, and what happens every weekend

You are rural, you do not matter, not enough votes.

We are lucky, our well water is delicious, better than any city.

I think that we do need to reduce our use of plastics, especially those that cannot be readily recycled. We went from pop in glass bottles to plastic. We can do a lot to reduce but it is his smug attitude that makes this total BS, the ban is not what is bad, it is that he does not stand for any of it, just like his "standing up for women" and saying they are wrong when he is accused of harassment.

In your case, does a water filter get rid of the taste? We currently drink all our water through a water softener, not ideal, but have not been able to put in a drinking water filter/tap yet, that is coming this summer.

I didn't realize or think we are the worst polluters per capita, that is surprising. Do you have the stats?

80% of Ontario's power is from renewable or nuclear ... that's why I'm surprised.

When I first became aware of that Mark, it was through an article in one of the major dailies some time ago. I to was a little surprised.

But the more I thought about it, the more I read on it, it just makes sense. Basic human nature.

We live in the land of plenty. Literally. We’re financially well off, wehave an abundance of resources, Etc etc. We’re gluttons. And because we have so much, the few others in the world have, we take it for granted and abuse it. We’re also a....consumer society/economy....

Christ, lots of places in the world are running out of fresh water....we treat ours like toilets. Places in Australia where you can’t water lawns. Places where you can’t shower every day, places like Cape Town which will become the first metropolis to utterly run out. We oth.........have the majority of the worlds supply, and are just 36mm people. Our mindset isn’t one of conservation, reduce etc....”land of plenty”

The link above has some of the stats on municipal waste.

We also blow when it comes to GHGs

    https://www.google.ca/amp/s/www.thes...port-says.html

But when the land mass is as large as Canada, and just 36milluon pigs....

We’re gnats.......until it’s examined and expressed per capita

I have noticed something about this man. He likes to sling various platitudes (feminism, environment, middle class, etc) in a very slick, presentable fashion. However, when someone calls him out his BS, he goes from smooth operator to a combination of foghorn leghorn and porky pig in a half a second. I would have thought a person with a teaching background in drama would have a bit better composure then this. However, I suppose the saying "those who can, do; those who can't, teach" has more than a bit of truth to it.

Do we need to reduce our one time use plastic "consumption"? Yes. Is it the most important issue we need to deal with? No.

I am getting a bit sick and tired of Trudeau preaching at me from his supposed moral high ground when it has been shown time and time again that he doesn't have any high ground to stand on. I swear October can't come fast enough for me.
