are you eating Black or Red or both
Never hunted them but have tons at home they love the feeders so maybe I am indirectly raising them, may as well reap the rewards

Reds are protected afaik.

I have never got to try them all I ever see are reds. No Grays or Blacks in the place I go North of Russell and I never see any in the woods around here where I hunt.

that's the thing that i noticed about the buggers. the red ones are everywhere and they're protected unless you have some other permit i can't think of right now and all the grey ones are nowhere to be found! someone forget to tell the red squirrels to F.O. i guess
