Just curious as to what depth you were trolling at to get the fish to hit. The areas that I use to fish the thermocline would normally set up between 16 - 18 feet during the summer months...

Your pretty close to what i fish i'm 17 to 25 feet

Are you using lead core, steel line, or a bell sinker off of a swivel. Nice when you can locate them during the summer. I've also taken them up shallow first thing in the morning or evening when they come up to feed. Especially when the weather has been consistent for 3 - 5 days and they get into a regular feeding pattern...

! oz lead weight mono line.
