Default So why have a forum if no one shares?

Pretty quiet here, Not much of a forum if no stories shared ,
    So here's one.
Got caught short this year and had to scramble a bit for a hunt. Couldn't secure where I wanted to be so had to settle for as close as I can. Figured a field was better than no field. The plan was simple, Hope to lure in something after the initial shoot 'em up. Cool morning but no wind to put life in the decoys I knew would have a tough time on spooked. Morning broke and a lot of birds in the air. Could here some good shooting going on in the stubble field I wanted. Out of the scramble was able to call in a pair than a single. Packed it in by 10 as the birds quit flying by then,

Agreed. Maybe we are a bunch of piss poor hunters with no success. I always wondered why most people dont post pics of harvests/hunts. Kinds makes me be shy too LOL

I got out on the water Saturday morning, I didn't really get a chance to scout so I set up in a spot that's usually a flight line. I didn't see a single bird until about 8 a.m. and they were far off, a flock of four. Plenty of shots going off in the distance so clearly I was just in the wrong spot.

Although I didn't manage to decoy any geese, I did manage to decoy a passing boater who thought that my decoys were abandoned. At least I know my camouflage game is strong.

Just nice to watch the sunrise from the marsh.Attachment 38809

Well nothing to share/show here..... The fields I hunt don't have any birds around and/or crops still up.... Looks like I may have to wait a few more weeks before my fields come active....

For what it's worth the photo hosting sites changing their policies has made posting photos on forums much more of a pita (in particular if you post on multiple forums). Frankly I'm not a good enough story teller to post too many hunting/fishing adventures without a couple of photos.

I had several years worth of posts with photos that went to crap after the photos disappeared and were basically held hostage by the photo site. Then a second site did the same thing.

I know with my photobucket I had 3600 pictures of hunting and trail cam pics. I was able to download entire album into my phone from the account when Photobucket tried making me pay to play.

Use IMGUR to host now. It's ok, But free so I'm going with that. You dont even need a host site if you use Taptalk for this site. Post them directly from your picture album

    K here's my story
Yesterday morning9 Canadas flew over my head while I was standing in my driveway. They landed behind my garage where I recently cut the grass short specifically cause it attracts waterfowl. They hung around all day.If they left,I never noticed. So last nite after dark I set up a couple dozen decoys. AT sun up I sat surrounded by some bushes overlooking the back field.I was approx 50 ft from my garage and 100ft kitty corner from my house. They came in shortly after sun up without uttering a sound. In range,I fired thrice harvesting two.One fell on my trampoline, the other on my tin roofed house. All to the disdain of my sleeping wife who came running out side with a "Are you out of your f............mind." I should have let her in on my plans.Boy goose hunting is fun.

Never really got into goose hunting in fields but decided to scout out some marsh spots for ducks this morning. Paddled into some tight spots that I’ve noticed birds take refuge while sky blasters go nuts in my area. Some good promising water, now I just need the birds to cooperate.
