I've asked MNRF for crown land data and they said that it was produced by private company and they would not give it to me. The private company, expectedly, also refused to give it. I have no clue how iHunter guys got it...

Thank you for idea. I called the private company, the owner of data, couple of year ago. The guy on the phone said 'we only deal with a minimum million-dollar projects'. Got a million to spare?

I dont see anywhere where they would talk about some kind of API to access data online. Not mentioning the fact that CLUPA is web application, different technology from whats used in SmartOut (google maps API).

Not new. This layer existed there before and does not have crown/private land distinction.
