I spoke with two fellows today who printed off their deer tags at home , first guy s printer printed off 3 copies, all identical, second guy printed off 11 copies, all identical.
What happened was in both cases their wives had used the printer and the guys forgot to look and change the number of copies that their wives had printed recipes off.
Now what happens they have all these extra deer tags that they could use "if they don't get caught ".
I wonder how long this system will stay in use if it allows this to happen ?, something has to change.

Said it earlier and hope it does not happen but what they did in some states when they went to this system is start to have you bring your deer in to a registration station. These are gas stores, out door stores etc. They record your tag, date, etc.
Really hope that does not come to pass.

Was that, coincidentally, the same time frame that the registration program was put in place to combat CWD in various states ?

Maine,Vermont and New Hampshire all have that regulation. I'm not sure about New York and Michigan. There's a 24hr window to get a Deer to a check station. On the report, the exact location of the harvest and every detail must be listed,so,CO's can check every day of the hunt. Deviate one iota and they're all over you like white on rice.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

I went to print my deer tag/license summary and just hit print to pdf, save to desktop. Can print this tag on demand now if the paper gets wet, ripped or otherwise destroyed. (I have no intentions of using it more than once)
I think I'd have to agree with a couple comments above, poachers were poaching before the new tag system and will continue to with this one. It's not ideal, but we will get used to it.

So if your tag gets wet I'm guessing you can no longer hunt.
