I was just wondering , did anyone hunt Luther marsh on the opener ? Been quiet , and havn't seen any posts !
It's not the same as before , i remember , many great hunts and the thousands of ducks flying around then !

I live not to far from Luther and haven't seen many ducks flying in the area but a ton of geese

Luther holds fewer and fewer birds every year ive found. Lack of cover and lack of sanctuaries are to blame. They have just let this place go. Most of the cover has fallen so its basically a lake. Be nice if they put some work into it. It will have its days. But ducks dont stay like they used to. I seldom hunt inside. But scout heavily on all sides for field hunts. Mallards used to be the easy. Not so much anymore. We usually concentrate on geese but do luck out sometines. Did have 2 good duck hunts this week, although both were unexpected.

luther can get pretty rough for a canoe....imho
