    Default Card Reader issue

Hi All I was setting up two identical game camera’s formatted cards on computer (fat32) and installed in cameras then placed on shelf to take pictures in afternoon/evening, this morning I checked both cameras show 61 pictures had been taken so grabbed one of the cards to try in a card reader that plugs into Android phone I was given as a gift. Went to file section on the phone found external usb card opened dcim file and no pictures so put card in laptop all 61 pictures gone, grabbed other card from 2nd camera put in laptop all 61 pictures show. Did I do something wrong with 1st card little worried if I take reader into bush with me and it deletes any/all pictures that wouldn’t be fun at all.

    Hi there.
Try the card that worked on the computer in the reader and see if pictures show up.

Sounds like your phone is formatting the card the first time somehow. Take the second card with the good pics and put it in the phone and see if they get wiped as well. Secondly you try them again overnite and bypass the phone and see if they both work. Seems like your fat32 formatting was fine or else the pics wouldn't have shown up on the cam.

    Cheers

Are you inserting the SD card into the reader well it is attached to the phone?
Take the warning labels off. Darwin will solve the problem.

You mentioned that you formatted the cards on the computer.
Format the cards from the game camera, not the computer. Test at home to confirm it works.
I had the same problem long ago. Luckily you got to see pictures on the one card.
Good luck on your next viewing.

I know most cameras have that option but I've always used my pc and never had a problem. Besides if the format was wrong the camera wouldn't have registered the 61 pics in the first place.
The easiest way to figure all this out is to take more pics and then bypass the card reader on the phone, go straight to the computer. If everything is normal the the phone is the issue.

    Cheers
