Tipping Guides (not cows)
Hey all,
I'm heading to Alberta next month on a mule deer/whitetail combo hunt and am wondering how much to tip. The outfitter i have been dealing with so far told me last week that he may only be guiding me for the 1st evening and then handing me off to one of his guides which is fine but who should get the tip then? Outfitter since that's who i've been dealing with or the guide? I plan on taking him/them a treat from in town here along with $ but am not sure how much. The hunt is a 6.5 day 1x1 rifle hunt.
Thanks

10 % is a good starting point paid to the guide .....go up from there depending on the success of the hunt .

You tip the guide that spends the most time with you and brings you success. Don’t forget a small tip for the cook. Good luck on your hunt.
