Controlled deer hunt validation

One more new thing this year to cause massive confusion! lol

The controlled hunt validation now appears on the license summary only. However it doesn't list any details. Like WMU or what dates the validation is for. As far as I can tell there is no option to print the validation card with the hunt week details.

It does have a bar code so I would imagine the CO's will be scanning it while checking you during your hunt.

I just tried too, and can confirm what the OP stated above. At the moment, I'm under the impression we are to re-print the licence summary and keep that with you during your hunt. Or, perhaps for the controlled hunt validation permits will still be mailed out? I will have to go back and re-check the regs, but I don't remember seeing anything regarding controlled permits.

Yeh the wording on these regulations is pretty poor.Right now I have two license summaries because I added a bear tag.So they want you to really carry a copy
of the most updated license summary,but don,t actually state that.On the actual summary they do not tell you to carry it?

You must carry your Outdoors Card, your
hunting licence (either listed on your paper
or electronic Licence Summary or printed
on the back of your Outdoors Card), and
any relevant tag(s) with you while hunting.

Now from the above quoted section they do not call it a license summary but call it a hunting license initially then they call it a license summary.Everybody confused so far.

What's the success rate in that WMU? my dad hasnt been drawn in 3 years in a row....95% success rate...hes so pissed. He gets a farmer tag for at home but we hunt the WMU north for controlled hunt. Frustrating.

I just printed mine and the validation is printed on my licence summary in details. It has the WMU, antlered or antlerless and the dates. Try reprinting it...
