    Default LBD!

Little buck down! Well not really little but average, around 190lbs six point. Sorry no pictures. This was the quickest deer hunt I've had. Got in the stand at 4:00 (after having to rush home as I forgot to bring my bolts ) and at 6:00 I noticed a buck moving my way. A few minutes later he was 25yds broadside and a minute after that he was down. Spent the better part of the day yesterday cutting, grinding and vacuum sealing.

Sorry guys I know you're used to seeing pics of big bucks on here but I'm happy with my little buck and I've got some good eating for the next year. TC

I was about 100yds in the woods off a rye field. There is an oak that must be particularly appealing on the edge of the field as the area underneath is trampled with tracks. As a matter of fact after I found my deer and went to the field to go to the car to get my cart there was a much larger buck feeding under that oak. The woods was logged 5 or so years ago and behind me is really thick. There is a ravine about 200yds west of me so I'm set up in a natural travel area just inside the woods. It's public land without much pressure during archery season but it gets hunted pretty hard during the controlled hunt. TC

How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?
