I think Uncle Ted does a good job. Nothing "Highly POLISHED " about his show.
Makes it very clear he is just putting meat in the freezer, and feeding his face.
Seems like he does most of his talking after the shot, and when he's waiting for game to expire.
Take the warning labels off. Darwin will solve the problem.

I always liked Relentless Pursuit. Tim Wells is likely the best hunter out there IMO, Hes a bit nuts and loves to kill things but his skill with a bow is second to none. He hunts with a blow gun or spear more than a bow now I think, Has some great hunts on YouTube

X2 on that. The guy is truly unbelievable and keeps it real. Gave up Matthews as a sponsor because they wanted him to stop spear hunting.

Game is not the only thing he has stuck a spear into.... sitting on the ground alone seriously wounded in the African bush. Totally cool with what ever fate he was going to meet. Calmly and truthfully admitting his mistakes, no whining or crying over things.

Usually disappointed. I see a "pheasant hunting in N.B" for example and expect to see a dog working - no dog.
My favourite show is "Mountain Men"- lots of real hunting and dog work.

As previously said, if I had millions to manage a piece of land I'd do it and enjoy it. I don't believe these shows are filmed on game farms, these US states they are hunting have HUGE deer populations, hence why they see so many.
As for do I watch. Some I do, usually focus on Canadian content if I can.

I don’t think the majority of the American shows on the wild network are on deer farms. But they hunt states like Iowa where the subspecies of deer are just massive and the soil grows massive racks and they just have a tonne of deer. Not to mention most of the properties are managed so they have a shooting age. So young deer rarely ever get hunted or shot at. Deer grow up not fearing humans nearly as much than all of a sudden they’re 3-4 years old and become a shooter and they’re just sooooo much easier to kill. They walk around in open fields in broad daylight, they rarely ever spook to human odour ect. So the shows end up so unrealistic because that’s just not how it is in all the areas most hunters have to hunt. We’re in highly pressured areas where anything with antlers gets shot at and deer just learn from a very young age how to avoid hunters or their killed. So hunting those deer who survive a few hunting seasons are professional hunter evaders...and that’s just not the case with the deer you see hunted on tv...
