Default Rattled in a buck yesterday

I was surprised at how quickly this little guy showed up, of course with the snow cover he showed up silently, I saw brown out of the corner of my eye, my heart skipped a beat, then he stepped forward. He looked around for the fight; but seeing none he went straight to the Trophy Rock, was cool watching him for about 10-15 minutes before he slowly walked away.

And from the Spypoint Trail camera

WMU 86, in other words Perth County, we only have a December Controlled hunt the rest of the season is for Bow hunters. The rut has really picked up over the last week really noticable in the does and the bucks reactions.

This camera has had does and fawns all summer, no bucks, they showed up at the first of the month, started getting daytime photos on the afternoon of the 14th. There is at least one doe that was in full esterus in the bush lot on Friday, hoping the bucks are done with her today and on the search for more.
