Of course, sensationalist story following absolutely dismal police work.
"6 charged".
Only one person can have the charges placed and stick. I guess it's a charge everyone and let the lawyers sort it out who's going to wear the charge.
A JR Carbine and 24 rounds of ammo isn't exactly a huge threat to society. It would be interesting to see what the investigation reveals as to the original source.
"Camo" is perfectly acceptable as a favorite colour.

Not necessarily ! It would depend on the circumstances. It’s not uncommon for one or more people to be charged and convicted of possession of something....

I haven't seen the original story, but why do you say "dismal" police work? If the firearm was found in the possession of a group of punks, thugs or whatever, isn't that a good thing?

It was in a home search warrant. Police had a search warrant for a house, in the end most of the charges will be dropped against some of the accused. It's just what the police do they will charge them all most will be dropped as they head into court.
If none of them admitted to it right away they will try for them all but most will not stick.

It’s not the police....it’s the Crown that plays”let’s make a deal”, and you are right, some charges will get dealt away to make that deal. This is one of the major problems police officers have with Crown Attorneys....very frustrating to say the least !!

It is the police at first, the crown knows nothing until it is in the court.
The police half to do what they have to do when no one rightfully admits it there for most time several people will have the same charges until brought to the courts. Yes.
In this case there was 3 adults and 3 teens witch could be the children and or friends. But we dont know that as fact.
I just received word on another fellow I know had a handgun and some cocaine . Same thing search warrant but he admitted it was none of the rest of the house there for he was the only one arrested now it's off to the courts. He is trying for bail now I can keep us posted lol. He could be out now haha but again I only a see a year out of this . It's a shame many never grow up outta the game. Money is too much for some to just simply say no.
I personally know of 3 all out search warrants on homes of people I know in the past year. And it all depends on what happened after the police showed depends on who they take. The first one last year arrested the all 5 in the house . The second saw 3 arrested and this last one I believe it was just 1 .
No I am not in the crowd I just know many people and know what's happening on our streets. I listen to my children in school so I am well up to date with the facts also my job I meet many and we openly talk and discuss what's going on. It's what happens when you work with younger people . I have similar stories so it can open up fast . I am not a preacher or a cop I will listen to their stories share some and so on. I will not judge them I just shack my head every now and then.
Have not seen a court room in almost 20 years and dont ever plan on it again. Unless someone messes with my family then we will have a problem and no I will not call the police first lol.

I wouldn't call it dismal police work, but,I'd sure as hell wouldn't hesitate to call it dismal reporting.....as usual. Those know-nothing morons could screw up The Lord's Prayer if they knew it.

If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

That's just for starters. Minimum sentencing was struck down by higher courts under pressure from the Liberal bureaucrats inside the justice system. We need to end patronage appointments in the judiciary and demand all prosecutors, justices and judges be elected. We also need to make prison sentences for using a firearm in the commission of drug dealing or any form of organized crime so severe and draconian that gang bangers would sooner carve off their testicles with a dull spoon than serve one day in jail. It works for Asian and South American nations, why not this one?

You know that's is the exact thing the liberals did 4 years ago, was reverse stiffer penalties for gun crimes. The gangbangers now get little to no time at all for criminal gun charges. It's great to be a gangster in Canada.
