Do you think it matters who the doctor works on when the driver from the car accident just killed a couple people from DUI ? 3-4 people are killed from DUI every single day in this country, not to mention alcohol related deaths that skyrocket the daily death count. Tons more people are killed from alcohol, I don't hear doctors complaining. And I don't see any politicians doing any duties of making us safe from alcohol?
If we're talking about a public safety concern, guns are way down low on the totem pole as far as casualties go. You mention Jane Creba and the danforth, you realize how many innocent victims have been killed from DUI since those shooting? Politicians have a duty to keep us safe, who are you trying to fool?..

Not to mention..the Military Dr's who safe our soldiers lives get a great deal of their training on treating gun shot wounds in big city hospitals. If it wasn't for guns and gangs, they would lack that essential training..for them to speak out against guns is hypocrisy...

We won’t be able to stop it. Once again it’s a scenario of one group of individuals rights or privileges being more important than our rights and privileges and we pay the price.

What I see on this forum is a simple divide between Liberal "gun huggers" like me and Conservative "gun huggers". The Conservatives want us ALL to hug all guns and support everybody that uses them. The Liberal "gun huggers" (yes there are plenty,we keep voting in Federal Governments) do not want to be told what guns they must hug and what gun owners they MUST support.
Then there are the rest on here like the bow hunters, fishing folks and so forth who are now sick to the teeth of the in fighting and political posturing.
I have all the same guns I had 30 years ago, actually more and do not expect this to change in the future despite all the fear mongering from certain folks who only come on here to post their views and false narratives.

The only false narrative would be saying we would be living in a safer country if they banned the guns. ??? Or assault rifles that have killed less in Canada in its last50 years present than the overdose in a year?? .. maybe just in Toronto alone .
We are not gunn huggers just see the bigger picture. The guns are not a problem it is people behind them.. Many of those people who use them on the streets are not real gun owners nor do they have any rights to already carry a gun. The simple fact is they are getting guns in and out of the country just like the illegal drugs that come across the border each and everyday.
Why is that so hard to understand the presence of black market guns have skyrocketed. With the amount of untraceable guns stolen or smuggled into Canada is here to stay. Even you say it will not salve much of the problem??? So what's the problem??
There are a dozen different problems that kill more than guns do and many far out way the gun problem. You have to looks at the bigger picture and or problems in Canada .

Gilroy if you looks into the stats. And facts as you like to put it . The facts are homicides rank at the bottom of the list of the top 10 Canadian deaths. Wierd eh. On a full chart it's not even in the middle wierd stuff eh . That includes diseases sickness and suicide and accidents that is pretty high in the list. More suicides in a year then several years of homicide. Over 2000 will die in the next year from suicides including some of our fellow officers.

Would you not think some may view this as far left, Liberal propaganda?

And that is by far, the most accurate statement in this thread!

How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?
