Opening weekend (Sunday) at about 9:00 am I counted x4 car/trucks in the main parking area and 2 more at the south end near the farm fields. On the second week, Tues Morning 8:00 ish, I saw only one truck on the road thru the forest. There is no other place to park but along that main road so that was all that was there.
Way back when, it used to be busy the Sat/Sun end of first week....never much during the week. In the past few years it's hardly ever busy during the hunting weeks.
Lots of deer in there, like Fox says...perfect habitat.

The weird part is that this year we did not see deer on the roads, in the fields, nothing. The deer were there, we had tons of tracks around on similar property very close to the Limerick.
I used to go down there to shoot in the summer, tall pines, swamp, farmers fields, ponds, hydro cuts, the deer are there for sure. That being said, the first year we moved out there, 5 years ago, there were lots of orange coats around, the last 3 years we have hardly seen another hunter, in the Limerick driving through or anywhere else around, the number of hunters is way down, which is just fine for me.
I've been there several times during spring Turkey season, but never during deer season. No doubt there are deer in there, but like the Marlborough forest, I wouldn't be surprised if they are mostly active during the night due to both hunting pressure and dirt bikes and atvs. Who knows though, maybe it is a deer hunter's paradise just what, 50 km from Ottawa?

Can I get in off of Limerick Road? I am not sure if you told me Mikepal were there ever many rabbits in there?

You'd have to go into the forest after a snow fall to see where the bunnies congregate GW. For a start, I would think where the Hydro corridor, on the north end, would be the best place to walk down and check for track activity.
The forest is south of Limerick Rd if you come at it from the 416 on the north end. There is a left hand turn and you head toward Roebuck.
