Sounds like a half backwards operation. Word of mouth and maybe an online review if they have social Media. That’s about it. Too bad you had a crappy time.

I'd try notifying their Chamber of Commerce as well as their tourism board. Not know if it would help but I think they might act on it...

Yup, What others have said, Tell these "guides" you are going to post on every online forum, Hunting page, social media platform how bad of experience you had and to warn others.
That sounds like a terrible trip, They should pay some back if they want to not have a bad reputation.

Sorry to hear about the crappy time. Like most are saying a bad rep or word for a business travel's faster and further. Write a review the word will spread.
Hopefully if there is a trip for next year it will go better.

That's a real bummer when you get ripped off by unscrupulous outfitters like that, specially when you have to fork out that kind of coin. I know I would be furious. First folks I would contact would be these guys at http://www.nloa.ca/. Apart from that I would be raising as much Cain as I possibly could like others have said.
Cheers

Has too much time on their hands
You handled yourself better than I would have. I would have called them out on their lies and BS and prolly would have left before the week was up I would never be paying up front the total cost of a hunt like that.

I have this sick feeling in my stomach now. We booked with this outfitter for the fall of 2020. Deposits have already been sent.

Ouch. I'd be worried after reading this post. You should ask the Outfitter for other references.

Same issue we had with Indian Point Camp in Dryden. They seem to cater for US customers with $USD. We saw a small buck the first time we went there and the US customers were shooting big bucks. The second time we went no bucks and seems like the site was used the week before we came. The place has new owners now I hope they are better to Canadians. Too bad I don’t have the cash anymore to use outfitters.
