When is Ontario going to have a full out hog season.
I’ve read that there are problems with hogs in the US. Huge problems. I believe there has been a lot in different areas over the bottom of Ontario that have active populations. Does anybody know the situation and what may or may not come of it?? I also read earlier this week a woman in the States died from bite wounds. They apparently put Kevlar bests on the dogs use to track them.???

There was a 3 around my area this summer I just looked at the map and its about 4 or 5 km off from where the sighting occurred and to the actual pinn on the map. I can't confirm the actual sighting but one of my kids friends saw them run across the road while on the bus home. Also heard a few other stories and it surfing on the social media in the area.
I tried looking for them , also heard they could of escaped from a near by pen so I can not 100 percent confirm. But the one pin on the map on 48 should be moved south a few km.
Good luck on the search maybe something on the map will be near you

Oh and to be truthful they will only open the season when its alright to late. If they stay on track with what they normally do lol. No they say an open season will only educate them
So look at the ps below [emoji1787]
Ps open season for them in Ontario now the ministry says shoot to kill lol.
Just need to make sure you have all your licenses for small game and obey your bylaws. Oh and dont shoot then in a pen I believe that happened last year.
You would also have to report too.
Here is a thread from before.

I think you guys are a tad late on the trigger. Hogs can already be hunted in Ontario with a small game license under small game regulations. They're the same as varmint/predator....open all year. So far,the only hogs we're seeing are farm escapees that can be shot on sight if found running free outside the farm. Wild Boars aren't (as yet) found here, officially, although, there's been some unsubstantiated sightings.

If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

Trimmer in my second post confusing as heck lol. But I stated it was an open season .
Just a confusing second post after I didnt answer his question in the first one hahah[emoji54] I like to ramble sorry [emoji2357][emoji97][emoji874]
Oh and I was looking at the date for the one on 48 that was reported may 22 .
The ones I referring to are not there but it was around a month ago some time in October. Apparently they were just little ones . I know someone who hunts the area and will be out on the next hunt . Will talk to him see if any sign on the property. Again with the rambling bla bla blahs lol.

I have yet to see to a hog in the wild .
However I did see a cougar a few years back. So who knows took almost 40 years to see a wild cougar and know of an Ontario bob cat that was hit by a car. Yet we never see them

Regarding these animals I hear they absolutely destroy the environment. Especially crops.
Just watch how the tables turn. Hunters now ask permission to hunt farmers lands. Obviously there are farmers and land owners that do no let people hunt their properties. Just wait, they will be begging people to hunt them.

I believe they are coming. Look at the damage they cause down south, and they are very aggressive. My US boss has been treed by them. he says they are smart and dangerous. We certainly don't want them up here.
