I've been posting the stories of my group's spring bear DIY efforts for a few years now, and think I showed this one off last spring. One of the guys bought this gorilla cart from TSC(or maybe Princess Auto?) and it worked great for both baiting and hauling bears, with or without an atv. Rated for 1200lbs

We have one of those also , the handiest thing around, they also come in a 1500 lb. model. There is also a smaller model that is easier to use than any wheelbarrow.

Warning, after eating bear, you may not care much to eat dear. The last few bears we shot were as close to beef as red meat could be.

Yes, since were not able to get Moose tags I’ve even convinced myself that it’s better than Moose. Nothing beats a bear roast, well maybe bear backstrap. lol.

Couldn't agree more, if I was given the choice I prefer bear meat, it also makes great sausages mixed with venison.

Does size matter in relation to meat quality,smaller better, larger stronger.....

I've never eaten spring bear but my big 350lb sow was just as good as any of the smaller ones I've had.

I agree! I like it better than moose.

Ok “bear” with me on this one.

I have my old wagon from when I was a kid. My father built it out of plywood, 1/2” steel tubing and solid rubber wheels typically found on a moving cart.

When I was a teen I blew the engine in my car. I moved my swing set over the engine compartment and put a chain block and tackle right in the middle of the cross bar and hauled the engine up out of the car. Yea, my dad built that swing set too.

I lowered the engine down onto my “little red wagon” and moved it into the garage to take it apart and see what happened. (It was an autopsy not a repair. I was just curious and never had taken an engine apart before).

A few years ago my dad redid the wood on my wagon. It’s in my garage and I’ve never really had any use for it...

So while I have no doubt it would hold the weight, the question is, do I pull it out and (ab)use it as a game cart?

I had one of those at my cottage for hauling stuff in behind my quad. ( This was before we built the road in).

The only thing I'll say is that the front axles / steering are the weakest points. It worked great until the wheels turned one too many times as they rolled over an obstacle. The metal eventually gave out. I removed the front wheels assembly, and rigged it up with the fixed rear wheels only, and used a piece of tubing to hitch the frame up.
